Driveway and tarmac cleaning
Driveways turn green and black from the edges inwards, and once moss is established in the joints, weeds follow. We wash block paving, concrete and tarmac back to their original colour and treat the surface so that regrowth is slower. Driveway pressure cleaning with the pressure matched to the surface, so tarmac, concrete and block paving are cleaned without damage.

What the job covers
Long rural driveways, yard entrances and the apron in front of a shed are all treated as part of the same job. Call with the approximate length and we can give you an indication before James visits.

- Red algae and fungus treated, not simply washed over
- Long driveways, yards and turning areas as well as the front of the house

They arrived on time and worked with great attention to detail, leaving everything looking spotless. I would highly recommend them
How it is done
Assessment and Price
James visits, inspects the surface and the growth on it, and gives you a price. A photograph sent in advance is helpful for a long driveway.
Wash
The driveway is pressure washed from end to end, with the joints and edges cleaned properly rather than only the centre.
Treat
Where algae or fungus is present it is treated with the appropriate detergent so it does not return immediately. Sealing is a separate job on request.
Before and after

Will pressure washing lift the tarmac?
Not when it is carried out at the correct pressure on sound tarmac. James has been washing tarmac driveways for over 20 years and adjusts the pressure to suit the surface. Loose or broken tarmac is a repair matter, and he will tell you if that is the case.
Do you remove the weeds from block paving?
Yes. The joints are cleaned out as part of the wash, and the surface is treated afterwards so the moss the weeds grow in is dealt with.
Do you seal the driveway afterwards?
We can. Sealing is a separate job, priced separately, and carried out only on request.
